Beneath the surface Of my anxious imagination Beckons a calmness That is found in you alone It washes over every doubt Every imperfection Jesus your presence Is the comfort of my soul
Here’s to the One who made the morning bright Here’s to the One who taught the stars to shine Here’s to the One who graced the dead of night Pulled me from the dark set my heart alight
What will it be like when my pain is gone And all the worries of this world just fade away? What will it be like when You call my name And that moment when I see You face to face? I’m waiting my whole life to hear You say
This is the air I breathe This is the air I breathe Your holy presence living in me This is my daily bread This is my daily bread Your very word spoken to me
I was a wandering soul Traveling a well worn road A sinner so far from home No second chance in sight I heard You call my name I felt You lift my shame And I made a vow that day That I’d spend the rest of my life
I was feelin’ that, feelin’ that breeze Singin’ like a song through the tall oak trees It was just another summer night Had to be the last thing on my mind Yeah, I was all but lost in the moment I was young and runnin’ wide open It was just another summer night Had to be the last thing on my mind
My soul thirsts for things I can’t explain In my bones a beckoning to pray If my heart is a battleground My defences run both ways The flesh is a beggar and thief But there is a Spirit-man awakening me
See Him there, the great I Am A crown of thorns upon His head The Father’s heart displayed for us Oh God, we thank You for the cross Lifted up on Calvary’s hill We cursed Your name and even still You bore our shame and paid the cost Oh God, we thank You for the cross
I searched through the Earth for something that could satisfy A peace for the hurt I had buried deep inside Knees on the floor, I finally found everything I needed You lifted my soul and opened up my eyes
The dark tried to hide You And steal You away Death tried to keep You Inside of the grave The enemy fought You He tried but he lost You cannot be stopped
O God, the world is lost in sin And so few that seem to care Many of whom profess Thy name No burden will help to bear We need a passion, Lord, for souls To bring the lost back to Thee Our hearts must be stirred Till all have heard At least once of Calvary
